David Hatchard, 49, of Moorhead, MN formerly, Yonkers, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, in Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND, surrounded by his loving family.
David Hatchard was born November 23, 1963, in Bronx, NY, to Roger and Emily (Lorangeira) Hatchard. After attending school in NewYork, David went on to study and acquire both a #2 and #6 Boiler Licenses. He then worked for many years as a building superintendent in New York as well as at a hardware store.
On October 31, 1991, David was united in marriage to Chelsea Lynn Smith of New York, (formerly of Moorhead, MN). They resided in Yonkers, until 1996 when they along their four beautiful daughters, moved to Fargo.

David was known for his spirit of excellence in his work as other companies would call for his expertise. David would often tell his wife, "The greatest satisfaction in my work is seeing the look on the customers' faces at a job well done."
David's favorite passtime was spending time on his ham radio. David became a General Ham Radio Operator with his call sign: "W0BNY"
David cherished his maternal grandmother, Maria Tavares Cunha, whom he cared for until her passing in New York. He also cherished his close relationship with his sister, Linda. Each Christmas, he would comment on how he longed to see her and her husband and the children. Sadly, it did not happen.
